ALREADY GROOMING BUT THERE'S SOMETHING YOU WANT TO GET BETTER AT?
Maybe there's a technique you've never quite got the hang of.
Your scissoring isn't as clean as you'd like it to be. You're struggling to get the finish you want on wool coats. You want to get better at shaping and balance. Or you've qualified recently and there are still certain grooms that make you think, “I'm not completely confident with this yet.”
That's exactly what our Refresher Course is for.
You don't need to go back and learn everything again, tell us where you're struggling and we'll work on that.

What Do You Want To Get Better At?
There isn't a standard lesson plan for this course because every groomer who comes to us needs something different.
We tailor your three days around you, your current skill level and what you want to improve.
That could include:
-
Fluff drying
-
Scissoring technique
-
Styling and shaping
-
Creating balance in your finished groom
-
Wool coat techniques
-
Teddy bear finishes
-
Breed-specific grooming
-
Hand stripping
-
Handling particular areas or techniques you're less confident with
If there's something specific you're struggling with, tell us.
That's what we'll spend our time working on.
DO I NEED TO BE AN EXPERIENCED GROOMER?
No. This course is suitable for qualified and newly qualified groomers who already understand the foundations but want more hands-on help in particular areas.
You might have been grooming for years.
You might have only recently qualified.
What matters is that you've already had training and know what you'd like help with next.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Your three training days can be arranged flexibly Monday–Saturday and the content will be planned around the areas you've told us you'd like to work on.
You'll spend the course grooming hands-on, with support and feedback from our tutors as you work.
No generic programme.
We start with where you are and work on where you want to improve.
